Fired Or Hired?

a
As I write, Darrell has already partaken in his The Apprentice, You’re Fired adventure, but just like Bake Off and X Factor he almost had to sell his soul to the devil re: confidentiality, until tomorrow night when the programme he saw recorded is aired ……. and I can vouch, hand on heart,  that he has divulged absolutely NOTHING!

He did say that he had been in bed early the night before, and if he read his ticket once, he had read it a thousand times …….

…… there was no way he was going to leave anything to chance and stand in the way of his long held dream.

It goes without saying that he arrived in more than enough time … with only about ten other people in front of him, and at that he said he could relax knowing his place was assured, even though it said it on his ticket!

At the anointed appointed time the gates opened and Darrell moved forward to have his man bag thoroughly searched and his body gone over with what he said was a Geiger counter before being cleared and told to join the “premium” line.

There followed another wait, Darrell getting more and more excited and not a little emotional, knowing that he was so close to his aforementioned dream.  However, the time passed quickly as he couldn’t help eavesdropping the conversation of couple standing in front of him who were something of studio audience aficionados, who seemed to have been to absolutely everything, and hearing them comparing their up and coming schedule sounded like the pages of a TV magazine ……

……. but for Darrell, enough is as good as a feast and The Apprentice will probably be the pinnacle of his studio audience career and most likely, can never be beaten.

And that’s more or less all I can tell you …… until tomorrow.  Darrell has only told me that it was the best episode of the main programme so far, with more than a few gasps of disbelief  from the audience ….. that he was in the middle of the second row ……. and that it was very, very cold in the studio, so cold that he had to put his jacket back on, but he warmed up later during the filming of the “crowd scenes”, where he had to clap normally and then with gusto, and the same again from a gentle amused laugh to a full belly laugh ……. oh and he proudly held his fired/hired sign aloft at the appointed time!  What a hero!

Will Nigel employ some cunning tactics to get Darrell to accidentally spill the beans?

Darrell must be a bit of an actor, with laughter on demand, from a titter to a guffaw.

Certainly a lot of tense emotion connected with being an audience member of these famous programs and not something soon forgotten....much nervous anticipation about tomorrow!......Love, Dianne
