Grease Is The Word!

Well, the sun was shining a fond farewell to us in Manchester as we boarded our plane.
A particular highlight at the airport was seeing Carla (the factory owner from Coronation Street) being rushed through the VIP queue, but we told a very excited Nigel it was not the place for asking her for a selfie or autograph as we would have lost our place in the “commoners” queue ….. which was humongous!  So aforementionably humungous that we had to run through duty free and get straight on the plane, affording no opportunity for Darrell to splash on the odd expensive aftershave or sample the delights of any male moisturiser.
The flight was uneventful, with very little turbulence ………
DSC01003…….. and the people in front of us didn’t push their headrests back, which none of us particularly relish, especially Darrell, who is a martyr to his claustrophobia.

Darrell, in extremely buoyant mood,  did however remark  on several occasions during the flight how deeply romantic, distinctly reassuring,  competent, authoritative and commanding the Captain’s voice was!!!!!
We finally landed in Grease to be welcomed by the heat ….. a clear blue sky, that distinct waft of barbeque smell in the air and the chirruping of enchiladas in the trees ……
……. and a cheery rep who put us on coach to our hotel and told us not to put any paper down the loo because the Greak drainage system can’t take it and that the water was safe to drink but it did contain a lot of minerals that might give us a slight tummy upset.
But after all Darrell’s planning we are finally here …………
……… Grease is undoubtedly the word ……
…… and bluer than any of us could have possibly imagined!!!  Happy Days!!!!

How wonderful.
We have enchiladas here in Mexico too. They don't chirrup. They sit on a plate waiting to be eaten. They may repeat, but otherwise don't made a sound.
A bit of blue? No. A lot of blue.
