Last night promised so much …… England v Uruguay ……
…… we had so much buoyant hope in our hearts ……..
…… a smorgasbord of confectionary and Darrell up for tweeting our every reaction ………
……. and then …… Uruguay scored ……………… which rendered us temporarily inconsolable …. and so was “him” next door!!! There then followed what seemed to be an endless wait, still full of hope, but filled with frustration …… all thoughts of partaking in any confectionary pleasure long forgotten as we waited …… praying ….. for a goal from someone, anyone on our side …..
And then it came, a goal ….. our joy unbounding ….. for just ten sweet minutes only to have victory snatched once more, cruelly, in the dying minutes of the match …..
Oh the despair ….. and the tears …. and the aforementioned confectionary left, hardly touched and left to go stale …….
We fear our fate is almost sealed, we need Italy to win their next two matches to give us the smallest of chances to move on ….. England v Costa Rica will be our poisoned chalice …….. this World Cup isn’t going at all the way we had hoped! Sighhhhhhhhhh

Very disappointing.
They say it is character building....
oh my, this is taking quite a toll......confectionary left to go stale.....but don't give up hope...relax and breathe deeply; you can see it through.....Love, Dianne
