Last Night at Southport

Last night Auntie Jan took me to the Arcade to try and win a big, green, funny faced dragon for Lucy on one of those crane machines, but I was rubbish at it and didn’t get her one.
Then we played air hockey, Auntie Jan won because her arms are longer than mine.
aaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
And then I had one last fairground ride.  I’ve had a BRILLIANT time but now it’s time to go home.
I have a bag of rock to take home and share with everyone, they can suck a piece while I tell them of all about my adventures.

My Last Day at Southport.

Choosing a postcard
I remembered to send a postcard to the “Ladies in the Office”.  They have a special wall where they put all the postcards they are sent during the year.

After I had written my postcard we went for a long walk in the dunes.
Picture 008
I was full of fresh air and Granny said I had glowing cheeks.
Picture 004 Picture 003
Then we went to say goodbye to the Iron Men

And I had a long think while sitting on a log.

Hello Emma and Friends

Hello Emma and all your lovely office friends, I am still on holiday in Southport but I just wanted to say hello to you all. HELLO!
No, I am sorry I don’t twitter because I have difficulty with tiny buttons owing to my stumpy hands – but I do blog every day – even on boring days.
If you e-mail me at with your address I will send you and your friends a postcard for the office!

Spending My 2p’s

Picture 076
After tea Auntie Jan takes me to the Amusement Arcade, I’m not very sure about how a lot of them work, so I generally just look.
But I have used my 2p’s in the Penny Falls, I wish Lucy was with us, because Penny Falls is her very favourite Arcade Game.
I won a few times, but I put it all back …… Auntie Jan says that’s what everyone does!
A aa
You had to put 10p’s in this machine – but Auntie Jan said I could spend my money on better things and have something to show for it!
Auntie Jan is very wise like that ……

I Thought I Saw A Flying Saucer!

Picture 011
When we were walking along the beach, I thought I saw a huge flying saucer and I was a little hesitate about going too near.
But when we got closer it was a leisure centre, with a cafe, so we stopped and had a very warming cup of coffee.
Picture 012
Nothing to be scared of after all.

I Know They Are Only Bricks But ……

Picture 041
One of my favourite parts of Crosby beach (apart from the Iron Men) is here! It’s covered with lots of old house bricks.
But some have been really washed about by the sea and have broken and become very rounded and smooth.
I have got four lovely ones in my backpack and when I get home I am going to make them into something very very special.

Chalet Amenities

Mum, Granny and Auntie Jan say the chalet is very basic and that they will be filling in the customer questionnaire  in accordingly, before we leave.
Picture 073
They let me feed the electricity meter with special cards, it was fun seeing the money add up on the little screen.
Picture 066
There are lots of things to do but we like to spend our days out on the beach.

Seaside Air Makes Me Really Sleepy

Picture 058Picture 057
After a long day on the beach it’s nice to come back to the chalet and have a really warm shower after tea.
The bath/shower is really strange as it’s not very long, and has a seat in it
Picture 051
My bed is strange too, it’s a settee that turns into a bed, how brilliant is that?
Sometimes when I sleep in a strange bed it takes me ages to nod off.

Aren’t Beaches Brilliant

Picture 029
Today when I went down to the beach I found a star fish, it was BEAUTIFUL!
Picture 044
When I get back to the chalet I like to look at all my beach treasures.

I found an interesting piece of wood ……

Crosby Beach

Picture 023
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare.
Picture 015
Crosby Beach is a magical place.
Picture 027
Auntie Jan has been before, she LOVES it and I LOVE it too now.
Picture 018
I was lost in my thoughts.

Today has been a brilliant day.

What’s In My Pocket Thursday

Counting 2p's 1
………A plastic bag full of 2p coins!  I’m off on my Sun £9.50 holiday to Southport, so I have raided my piggybank for 2p’s for the Penny Falls machines.
counting 2ps
We are not going for very long, but I am very excited.  We are going to Crosby Beach to see the Iron Men, then a good look round Southport and lots of other exciting things.
I am going with Auntie Jan, Granny and Mum.

Mr Collis’s Monkey

Do you remember that I said I was going to find Mr Collis a monkey to travel on his bus with him …. well he arrived today
He was ever so well packed

rrrrrrrr yyyyyy

It was quite a struggle to find him ….

But it was worth it, because he is brilliant!

He has got the most beautiful dimples and we got on well immediately.

Mr Collis is going to LOVE him.

I can see him now, sitting with Mr Collis at the front of the bus, map reading and pointing out places of interest for all his passengers.
He will stay with me for a short while until we see Mr Collis next, we are going to have so much fun!

It’s Pancake Day!

Shake n Make Pancake Mix
I love pancakes and this is the first time I have been allowed to make them on my own, but rather than make a mess all over the kitchen with bowls, and weighing and whisking etc. I got an all in one shake ‘n make pancake mix from Tesco. All you need to do is add water and shake! How BRILLIANT is that?
Cooking Pancakes cooking pancakes 2
I was very careful and followed all the instructions.
Cooking Pancakes three
I wonder if it is ready to toss yet?
